Favourite thing about living here:

Close proximity to water - the ocean, lakes and rivers! I love watching the water from a distance when it's still and looks like glass, when the waves crash over rocks and lap up against the shore. I also love swimming in it! There is such freedom in being in water. I also love the mountainous terrain on Vancouver Island. It was a welcomed surprise. There are so many kid-friendly hikes as well as more rugged alpine adventures just a short drive away! Being in water and the mountains serve as such a tangible reminder of the power and beauty of nature.

Favourite thing about working here:

Since my first visit to Oceanside Community Church, I've been overcome with joy from the love and generosity of its people. This community is extremely special, and I feel so humbled to be able to serve God through this church alongside its amazing staff, volunteers and congregation.

When I’m not working:

Outside exploring/camping with my family, walking, puttering in my small garden, working out, making crafts with my kids, sewing, reading.

Favourite local eats:

Masala Hut, White Elephant, Samurai Sushi.
