First and foremost, we believe Jesus is the most compelling person or thing we have ever known and deserves our deepest love and affection. We are made by Him for Him and long for our hearts to be completely fascinated by Him.
We believe the Bible is true and trustworthy and we affirm the traditional and historical doctrines of the Church. We sometimes cite creeds such as the Apostles Creed which summarize these basic beliefs.
Beyond that, we are a part of a relationally-based, co-operative fellowship of churches known as the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). We choose to voluntarily affiliate with this fellowship of churches for the following reasons:
1. Although not perfect, the PAOC's beliefs most closely reflect what we believe as a church. You can read and download them HERE or below. For those who want to go deeper, you can download the commentary on these beliefs HERE.
2. Although we are self-governing and our affiliation with the PAOC allows for a high level of local empowerment and diversity, we believe we are much healthier when we join together with others in our efforts and voluntarily make ourselves accountable to a greater whole. See the "Better Together" brochure for more details on this partnership.
3. Being a part of a network of over 1,100 churches allows our pastors and leadership to participate in conferences, meet in small groups with other pastors, network with other leaders, and have access to helpful resources. This keeps our pastors spiritually healthy, connected, and accountable, which benefits our local congregation.
