Dear Church,

Merry Christmas from our team to you!

It’s been an unbelievable year as we have sought to “solidify a lasting legacy” for future generations of islanders by “paving the way” for more people to see and experience the glory of God. We are all called to “build with care” (1 Corinthians 3:10) God’s church, and you have done that with your incredible faith, generosity, love, and care. As we think of you all, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. It is an amazing thing to be able to see God at work in his people, and it is a privilege and joy to be able to minister in this community and serve the Lord alongside each one of you. Together, we are making an impact for the glory of God.

Thanks to you, in just the last month alone:

• 10 families were provided with full Christmas dinner baskets, plus some gift cards and small gifts.

• An SUV was filled with gifts and essential hygiene items that will bless the clients of the Island Crisis Care Society.

• Over 170 people were ministered to and engaged in Christmas cheer at our annual Carols and Cookies event including many who were completely new, or previously unconnected to the church.

• Close to 900 Christmas cards were written for seniors in care homes, extended care, palliative care, and dementia care.

• Two "by donation" fundraisers initiated by the Women's Ministry and a Life Group raised close to $3,000 to benefit our school breakfast program and the missions of the church.

• Countless acts of kindness, goodness, and love were carried out between members of our church family, showing an intentional effort to cultivate the "fruit of the Spirit." (Gal. 22-23)

• Through generous and sacrificial giving, you have already reduced our annual shortfall by over $75,000 and have unlocked "matching milestone" funds that will benefit two of our missions partners.

We are so grateful for your consistent generosity this year and for many years, which has helped bless so many people and transformed so many lives and families.

In His love,

The Oceanside Staff Team
