Coldest Night of the Year Sponsored Walk for Homelessness

This February, our youth and young adults group took part in the 'Coldest Night of the Year'; a Canada wide sponsored walk to raise funds for the homeless. In just 4 weeks, our team managed to raise over $6,200 and landed in 2nd place for the area!

All the money will go towards long-term housing solutions for the homeless in the Oceanside area under the Oceanside Homeless Task Force and Island Crisis Care Society. On February 23rd, the team completed the 5KM walk through Rathtrevor Provincial Park!

As well as raise funds, our team also spent some time in the Word learning all about the importance of neighbourly love, community outreach and putting their faith into action.
